“Humanity’s abuse of nature requires a true conversion and invites us to change our lifestyles.” Pope Francis
Caritas Diocese of Plymouth and CAFOD invite you to a day of reflection on Care for Creation at the Parish Church hall of St Andrew, Blundell’s Avenue, Tiverton EX16 4DL,  from 10.30-15.00 on Saturday 19 October. A simple lunch is included. Please register here if you can join us on the day.

The day will be led by John-Paul de Quay from the Ecological Conversion Group and will explore some of the materials developed as part of ‘The Journey to 2030’ – a project that supports the Church and its wider community to respond to the cry of the earth and the poor. The aim of the day is to reflect on how we can help our church communities to be the hub of transformational change that we want to see in the world.

The parish is an ideal place to start this conversation. With our faith as motivation, we can praise God together for the beauty of his creation and live in hope and gratitude.  With our church buildings, halls, and gardens we have the physical resources to both serve and enable others to take action.

The event will explore how parishes can get involved in caring for creation, with some simple ideas about how to get started in transforming the lives of our communities to help address the cries of the earth and the cries of the poor.
